The Hanoun Evaluation and Rehabilitation (ER) System

The Hanoun System is the state-of-the-science in assessment of physical capacities. It is a system that allows the physician to provide employers with useful information that is well researched and peer-reviewed. This information is given in a format that is easily understood. There is no other functional system that provides the custom capabilities of the Hanoun ER in a technology-based format.

The Hanoun can be customized to perform many different tests. Our staff is trained in the operation of the Hanoun and performs many different types of evaluations based upon the needs of the ordering party. Some tests that are performed are physical performance testing for employers, physicians, attorneys and assisting in determining disability, which may be helpful in determining Social Security benefits. The testing is well researched and peer-reviewed, and the findings are defendable.

We are able to provide a valuable service for employers by performing Post-Hire Evaluations to help with determining if there is an increased risk of injury in physically demanding jobs. We are also able to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE), testing designed to determine an individual's physical ability to perform certain tasks or activities associated with work. A FCE is usually performed to determine the progress of the care and help in determining any work limitations that are present. The testing is helpful in determining the motivation and efforts of the examinee.

Functional capacity testing is helpful and sometimes essential for the physician in determining if an injured worker has attained Maximum Medical Improvement and the impairment the result of the injury. We are able to assist the treating physician by measuring the ranges of motion, physical capabilities by performing dynamic and job task specific testing, and cross-referenced validity testing.

There are times when objective testing is required to support a disability that is the result of an injury or medical condition. We are able to provide objective documentation of the physical disability that can be used in the case litigation.
